frequently asked questions

How does Agri-tech "scout" a farm?

In short, fields are surveyed and analyzed, weekly, by walking the crop and sampling in a regimented pattern designed specifically for each crop.

Does Agri-tech apply the insecticides?

No, our responsibility is to assist the grower in making the best choices for control strategies.  All applications are the growers' responsibility.

What equipment does Agri-tech use?

We use a variety of equipment depending on the specific requirements of each job, such as:
  • Trucks
  • Motorcycles
  • Aircrafts (available for both farm landings or long distance client services)
  • In house lab for basic disease and insect identification

Does Agri-tech have organic options?

Yes, we include predator and parasitic insect populations in our reports and highly encourage their promotion. We always advise the use of bio-rational products with the least effect on non-target pests. Agri-tech also sells predator mites and insects along with bumble bees for pollination services.

What is Agri-tech services' range?

We consult with farms throughout the Eastern United States, including Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and New Jersey.  The use of our aircrafts allows us to service farms almost anywhere.  We have flown to farms as far away as Maine and Texas.

Who makes up Agri-tech Services' staff?

We have a staff of six field scouts/managers and office personnel.
